Last friday, someone was busy preparing for the weekend outing. I had to stay at home as well, to help him looked more busy. But it had to be cancelled because according to them, the gathering over the weekend was only for husbands and wifes, since he was going alone, he had been sent back home. It was the 2nd time he had been sent back home.

I felt a bit upset with the silly reason that they gave to him, but the more I think about it I was getting annoyed with that. There are a few things that we are questioning about what they are doing and practising here. They say one thing, they do the other thing. I do not want to discuss further on this ground because it involves my priciple of a being and the religion. Enough said! But I can only hope that Allah guide me through if we are lost.

On saturday, we had our car fixed. It had been two weeks the car was immobalised because the battery was weak. We had to change to a new one and we had to do it ourself. The cost of labour here is expensive. But we were glad that we had helpful neighbours who were willing to fix it in the rain.

Went to R&J house after that. We were late already. But we could not care less. We are sort of teaching the kid and sometimes my husband is teaching the husband. No, we are not ustaz and ustazah, just help of what we can.

There was once the mother insisted on us teaching all the other topics like tajwid, feqah and few other that we ourself are still learning. But I told her that we are not ustaz and ustazah, please do not push us further. If you want a proper lesson for your children, you can always sent them to a proper school, or we can suggest you someone else, so we are not wasting each others' time. But the mother insisted on us teaching the children. You have to follow our rule then!

When we were teaching the children at this family, another family (B&E)that we are closed with feel that they have been left out, and eventually sent their daughter who is at the same age with our daughter. Lately, we had been getting the comments from R&J about them not being happy with this family (B&E). One of the statements that she was making, that really made me felt very uncomfortable was that, we call you to teach my family privately, not to have them joining us.

Both of this families married english, and both of the husbands converted to muslim on the marriage basis. The wives have extra responsibility in this case to the family.

I felt that R&J manipulated us and using us for their own purpose. We know B&E family longer than we know this family. We didnot offer to teach her family, but she was asking us to teach their kids. I do not like the way R&H treating the situation at her own hand. We went to B&E's place and had a chat we them. Good friends like them are not worth of losing over someone who are using us for their own need.

Our phone line suddently went dead on friday, so someone who had to stay at home could not browse the internet.

I had a bad day on saturday at work when everybody was not seeing each other eye to eye. I found that one of the cleaners who was working with me during the weekedn had lost her husband in accident 6 years ago. And the way she told me, made me feel like the thing just happened yesterday. It had totally changed my attitude towards her.

The lesson that I had learned last week end was that, when you talk and communicate, it is so much better to resolve an issue. Coorperation is important as well. Sometimes who have to lose some in order to win some.
